Enjoying the weather

We have had real fun in the snowy weather.
We made snowmen...

We stuck snowballs to the wall to see how fast they melted...

We wrote numbers in the snow...

We collected snow from outside and then tried to decide how to keep it frozen till the next time...

The snow on the windowsill melted.

The snow in the freezer lasted and we were able to check it the next time!

Chinese New Year

We had fun learning about how Chinese People celebrate their New Year. We made some banners to wish good luck.
     successful learners, confident individuals

effective contributors, responsible citizens

We took our dragon and the lion from another year to dance
and wish some of the parents a happy Chinese New Year
We went round the classes and wished them
Happy New Year for Chinese New year as well.

The Petrol Station

On Thursday the boys and girls were out on the wheely toys. The petrol attendant was helping everyone get petrol or air for their scooters and bikes.
The children were very keen to make a petrol station and made signs showing if the petrol shop was open of shut and how much the petrol, sweets and newspapers cost.
Many of the children continued to make their own newspapers to sell in the shop when they came inside.
On Friday the children enjoyed filling their wheely toys up with petrol, deisel, water, oil or air and then paying at the shop where they bought snacks and a paper.

Cleaning up in the Nursery

Monday 18th February.
Today the nursery boys and girls spent some of their session cleaning up the outside area.
We wore lots of clothes to keep us warm. Can you see how many warm hats you find?
